Expressions of Interest: Advisory Group on Reef Restoration and Adaptation Interventions

Reef Trust Partnership

The Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program is now establishing an Advisory Group of stakeholders and rights-holders in the Great Barrier Reef community to provide advice to RRAP decision-makers. One of the main purposes is to enhance stakeholder and traditional owner perspectives into RRAP decision making and future directions and, further, to consider links, opportunities, and benefits of RRAP activities with other activities that are occurring within the Reef community.

The Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program is a multidisciplinary collaboration between lead universities and research agencies, working together to research, develop and deploy a toolkit of novel interventions to help our Reef resist and adapt to the impacts of climate change. If proven safe and effective at scale, these technologies will underpin a new reef restoration and adaptation industry across the length of the Great Barrier Reef, likely requiring dedicated infrastructure and creating a range of career opportunities on land and water.
